When the little soul fish has transformed and he’s looking out at the sea, he finds himself longing to join the current, to be “impressed upon by every wave and fan, to carry the stamp of the sea through time.”
After Richard Row had completed the illustrations for “Soul Fish,” he sent me this link to a VIDEO of a puffer fish engaged in actually making his own imprint.
When I watch this video I’m inclined to think that puffer fish do indeed have souls, or at least that they are the artists of the sea!
Michelle, I fell in love with a puffer fish. I never thought that would happen! What is this thing we call “instinct” ?! A marvel really, This little thing creating art and making sure there will be a next generation. Life is an incredibly “lit by wonder”. Thanks Michelle, for the journey, Erika
Beautiful!
I can not help linking this little puffer with the star of your Soul Fish video.
Perhaps they’re the same 🙂
Love it! Quite the “art work”
Thanks Michelle!
Artists of the sea, indeed! Thanks for sharing this awesome video, Michelle (and Richard). I’m in awe of what these tiny, seemingly unassuming creatures create!
It’s really a marvel, isn’t it? All in the name of love! Thanks for the comment, Rose, and everyone. It means so much to hear from you!
